Viruses
This guide is an introductory list to help locate research materials at the Rowland Medical Library. Viruses are infectious agents characterized by a lack of independent metabolism and by the ability to replicate only within living host cells. Viruses are classified as to their origins, mode of transmission, or their manifestations. They are separated into three subgroups on the basis of host specificity, namely bacterial viruses, animal viruses, and plant viruses.
